My favorite Jurlique- Lavender Body Oil

I love spa and body massage, from Balinese to Hot Stone massage. I would say aromatherapy full body massage is my all time favorite. If it is doable, I would love have it every single day before I go to bed.

While I was in Australia, I bought Jurlique’s Lavender Body Oil (currently my favourite potion) which I can DIY or at least I got myself a reason for my husband to massage me once in the blue moon. The pleasant lavender scents help my mind calm and unstrained. I feel relax. I love the scent of lavender; I have everything lavender at my home from a potpourri, laundry detergent to the closet air freshener.

Jurlique- Lavender Body Oil.

I love the pleasing light smell of it. Its not too oily. It's just right.
It's my most favourite potion at the moment.
Sometimes I use it as moisturiser or lotion at night. Soothe up the dry skin.

Jurlique - Lavender Shower Gel

Not much of foam. Usually used while soaking in the bathtub.

Lavender bag for my closet. Sometimes I couldn't resist to just hold it on my hand and sniff it once awhile. I am quite addicted to the scent at times.

My Lavender eye bag which accompany me every night.

Carbtree & Evelyn hand lotion.

Those are my home Lavender range product!  After a refreshing bath, I will apply the Lavender Body oil on the tense up  area such as neck and shoulder, massage it on the muscle till the oil is absorb. As I am ready for my sleep, I place the eye pillow on myeyes, within a few minutes; I am chasing my dreams..

EErie Weekend

Ahukkk Ahukkk…. Runny nose, nose block, sore throat, diarrhea. It’s happening in one shot. Dizzy the whole day, was it I had not enough sleep or I am really sick? I feel like I need a massage. Someone has spread their germs to me. Sigh ….

It’s an awfully tragic week in the early of June I say. My aunt in Penang passed away another 3 friends of mine had relatives who passed away as well. So this is like a funeral weekend. Sound creepy ain’t it. Sigh…
When I rang my friends they are telling me they are at a funeral...-_-'

I don’t want to hear any more death! It’s bloodcurdling!

P/S: If I die, all I wish is each and every friend and relatives of mine are here for me at the funeral!

Ok woozy dizzy now … off to bed ... Shhhhh

Not for fainted heart reader.

This is not for a fainted heart reader. The content of this post might be gruesome and revolting. So please read at your own risk. I am not responsible for any loss or anything that happens while and after you read! LOL.

So what is this about? Getting curious what I am going to discuss in this post? Before I start, here is a little hint. It’s something sticky gooey, or may be hard, sometimes it gets runny and sometimes it drops like a hard lumpy stone one by one and sometimes it has cracks on its surface, it might be smooth may be other time its mushy.

Got the answer yet? Need another hint? Sure, it might be dark in color, yellowish, and green, red or may be brown?

Have you figure out the answer yet? Ok it’s about poop. May be not, shouldn’t be that vulgar, feces or ordure if it’s alright? I guess I will use the word stool than. “Stool with colors?” Don’t startled yourself. Continue reading…

Stool comes out from your bowel. Right like you don’t know. I am not going to say anything disgusting in here. May be a little information concerning your health and knowledge. Have you ever notice what color is your stool? Does it changes everyday? How about the texture? Stool implicates what and how your body is doing. It’s a sign that tells you what is happening inside your body.

A healthy stool is most commonly brown in color. The color of human stool will vary depending on our diet, defecation frequency, bile production, and state-of-health. Most shades of brown and green feces could be considered normal. Bile is a yellow-green fluid produced in the liver and stored in the gallbladder that helps digest fats. As bile travels through the digestive tract, it is altered by digestive enzymes and the green pigments are changed to brown.

Check out what color is your stool.

Color

Possible Cause

Brown

Generally considered normal. Multiple shades of brown can be seen in the same bowel movement. This is due to enzyme actions on bile.

Green

Generally considered normal. Increased consumption of green leafy vegetables and green plant powders frequently causes green colored feces. Certain food colorings and iron supplements can also cause green colored feces.

Black

Bleeding in the upper gastrointestinal tract can be a cause of black, or tarry, feces. Other possible causes can be ingestion of iron supplements, bismuth subsalicylate (Kaopectate, Pepto-Bismol), or black licorice.

Yellow

A decreased ability to absorb fats in the diet can lead to yellow colored feces. Infections with certain intestinal parasites can lead to this decreased absorption.

Bright Red

Bright red blood in the stool can be caused by bleeding in the lower intestinal tract (colon, rectum, or anus). Most often this bleeding is caused by hemorrhoids and tears in the rectum. Red feces can also be caused by the consumption of red food colorings, beets, cranberries, and tomato products.

White or Clay

This is generally an indication of decreased bile in the feces. This can be caused by some medications, hepatitis, or bile duct obstructions.

So if you do find that your color is a bit different, it’s best that you seek for medical advice. Just incase you are doing detoxifying or colon cleansing, colors and texture of stools might vary from day to day. Medication and food intake can cause of color changes too.

Some might say, I might be too heaty as the Chinese would say so I got this weird color of stool and this badly foul smell. Bear in mind, if it is only for a day or two is normal but if the symptom persists its way to freaky.

How do I come up with this? Well I have been changing my diet plan by adding freshly squeeze juice drinking before my meals. It has got my attention that my stuff have been changing texture and colors. I am not going to describe it here. Stay healthy!

Ten principles for Peace of Mind

1. Do Not Interfere In
Others' Business Unless Asked.

Most of us create our own problems by interfering too often
in others' affairs. We do so because somehow we have
convinced ourselves that our way is the best way, our logic
is the perfect logic and those who do not conform to our
thinking must be criticized and steered to the right
direction, our direction. This thinking denies the
existence of individuality and consequently the existence of
God.. God has created each one of us in a unique way. No two
human beings can think or act in exactly the same way. All
men or women act the way they do because God within them
prompts them that way. Mind your own business and you will
keep your peace.

2.. Forgive
And Forget:

This is the most powerful aid to peace of mind. We often
develop ill feelings inside our heart for the person who
insults us or harms us. We nurture grievances. This in turn
results in loss of sleep, development of stomach ulcers, and
high blood pressure. This insult or injury was done once,
but nourishing of grievance goes on forever by constantly
remembering it. Get over this bad habit. Life is too short
to waste in such trifles. Forgive, & Forget, and march
on. Love flourishes in giving and forgiving.

3. Do Not Crave For Recognition:

This world is full of selfish people. They seldom praise
anybody without selfish motives. They may praise you today
because you are in power, but no sooner than you are
powerless, they will forget your achievement and will start
finding faults in you. Why do you wish to kill yourse lf in
striving for their recognition? Their
recognition is not worth the aggravation. Do your duties
ethically and sincerely.

4. Do Not Be Jealous:

We all have experienced how jealousy can disturb our peace
of mind. You know that you work harder than your colleagues
in the office, but sometimes they get promotions; you do
not. You started a business several years ago, but you are
not as successful as your neighbor whose business is only
one year old. There are several examples like these in
everyday life. Should you be jealous? No. Remember
everybody's life is shaped by his/her destiny, which has
now become his/her reality. If you are destined to be rich,
nothing in the world can stop you. If you are not so
destined, no one can help you either. Nothing will be gained
by blaming others for your misfortune. Jealousy will not get
you anywhere; it will only take away your peace of mind.

5. Change
Yourself According To The Environment:

If you try to change the environment single-handedly, the
chances are you will fail. Instead, change yourself to suit
your environment. As you do this, even the environment,
which has been unfriendly to you, will mysteriously change
and seem congenial and harmonious.

6.
Endure What Cannot Be Cured:

This is the best way to turn a disadvantage into an
advantage. Every day we face numerous inconveniences,
ailments, irritations, and accidents that are beyond our
control. If we cannot control them or change them, we must
learn to put up with these things. We must learn to endure
them cheerfully. Believe in yourself and you will gain in
terms of patience, inner strength and will power.

7. Do Not Bite Off More Than You Can Chew:

This maxim needs to be remembered constantly. We often tend
to take more responsibilities than we are capable of
carrying out. This is done to satisfy our ego. Know your
limitations. . Why take on additional loads that may create
more worries? You cannot gain peace of mind by expanding
your external activities. Reduce your material engagements
and spend time in prayer, introspection and meditation. This
will reduce those thoughts in your mind that make you
restless. Uncluttered mind will produce greater peace of
mind.

8. Meditate Regularly:

Meditation calms the mind and gets rid of disturbing
thoughts. This is the highest state of peace of mind. Try
and experience it yourself. If you meditate earnestly for
half an hour everyday, your mind will tend to become
peaceful during the remaining twenty-three and half-hours.
Your mind will not be easily disturbed as it was before. You
would benefit by gradually increasing the period of daily
meditation. You may think that this will interfere with your
daily work. On the contrary, this will increase your
efficiency and you will be able to produce better results in
less time.

9. Never
Leave The Mind Vacant:

An empty mind is the devil's workshop. All evil actions
start in the vacant mind. Keep your mind occupied in
something positive, something worthwhile. Actively follow a
hobby. Do something that holds your interest. You must
decide what you value more: money or peace of mind. Your
hobby, like social work or religious work, may not always
earn you more money, but you will have a sense of
fulfillment and achievement. Even when you are resting
physically, occupy yourself in healthy reading or mental
chanting of God's name.

10. Do Not Procrastinate And Never Regret:

Do not waste time in protracted wondering " Should I
or shouldn't I?" Days, weeks, months, and years may
be wasted in that futile mental debating. You can never plan
enough because you can never anticipate all future
happenings. Value your time and do the things that need to
be done. It does
not matter if you fail the first time. You can learn from
your mistakes and succeed the next time. Sitting back and
worrying will lead to nothing. Learn from your mistakes, but
do not brood over the past. DO NOT REGRET. Whatever happened
was destined to happen only that way. Why cry over spilt
milk?

My heart.

Animation of a normal ECG wave.Image via Wikipedia

Been having chest pain these few days, today it got worse. I recalled my doctor saying that I have a high level of cholesterol that I need to aware of. Trying my effort to control the food intake but it ain’t easy. I was petrified and nervous when all of a sudden my chest starts to hurt more. The pain came on and off. It has boggled my mind the whole afternoon. I was so afraid that I might die at work or at sleep. I thought to my self may be if the pain go away I will go for a check up the next morning or may be I will just leave it behind.

By the evening I can’t bare the persist pain. I told my husband about my chest pain that if it’s just muscle pain or something. He then insists me to go to Hospital for a check up. My heart beats more rapidly when I reached the hospital ER. I was nervous.

As soon as I arrived at the ER room, I noticed the hospital staffs are all covered with mask which induced me more nervous. I was like shit I totally forgot my mask! I have not keeping my self safe. No prevention and precaution for me to fight against any dangerous killer germs or bacteria that might be transmitting airborne.

The nurse usher me to a seat, checked my temperature and my blood pressure. Then I was called for my turn to see the doctor. Doctor her self was wearing a mask. I can only observe her spectacles and eyes. She had her “tudung” on. I felt like I was talking to a ninja master or something. I told her about my chest pain, she told me that my blood pressure is fine and to counter check and affirm me, I was asked to do an ECG test.

A nurse helped me lay down on a bed. I was half top naked. The ECG machine’s tentacles look a like part was placed on my chest area. After 10 minutes a result graph of my heart beat rates was produce. Doctor exclaimed to me that my heart is in perfect condition and is very healthy. I was so relief when she said that. I can see my husband smile at me. He was sitting at the corner of the examine room, accompanying me all the time. I double checked with the doctor if there might be other reasons that causes my chest pain. She told me it might because of muscle traction. What ever it is, I was so relief that it has got nothing to do with heart attack or failure.

I am glad and happy I have a healthy heart. I think it’s time for me to re-do my annual check up.

A bit of facts :-

There are other symptoms of an heart attack besides the pain on the left arm.

One must also be aware of an intense pain on the chin, as well as nausea and lots of sweating, however these symptoms may also occur less frequently.

Note: There may be no pain in the chest during a heart attack.
The majority of people (about 60%) who had a heart attack during their sleep, did not wake up. However, if it occurs, the chest pain may wake you up from your deep sleep.

If that happens, immediately dissolve
two aspirins in your mouth and swallow them with a bit of water.

Afterwards

- phone a neighbor or a family member who lives very close by
- say "heart attack!"
- say that you have taken 2 aspirins.
- take a seat on a chair or sofa near the front door, and wait for their arrival and..
~ do NOT lie down ~
~try to cough as hard as you can.

The Kidney

Grandma is just alright. Just few beyond description tubes and pipes stuck out from the neck and stomach used for her CAPD dialysis and Haemodialysis. Just brokenhearted and detest to see an 80 years old women stuck in this condition for the rest of her lives. I am proud and glad that Aunt Gek Hong is always there for her. Without her, what could have happen? Aunt G. Hong is you are reading this I just want to tell you and announce to the world that you are an affectionate daughter and a loving-care mother and wife! A great aunt as well! RESPECT!

It was my first encounter in a Haemodialysis Hospice. I can’t believe that there are patients who undergo the dialysis can be as young as 10 years old. They have to go through this dialysis for the rest of their lives. 3-4 times a day or maybe on a daily basis! It’s a shocking scene at the hospice. Tears run down when I saw the patient’s facial expression. Kids are too young to suffer all this! It’s just not fair! Something has to be done! Someone should have done something, warn us, teach us, and gives us the information, knowledge and awareness about kidney failure. Just do something! Help those people who suffer!
